Limited Time Offer: Free Deitrich Bonhoeffer Book

39940Right now, Logos/Faithlife is trying to boost the use of their Faithlife groups. They are currently offering 30-day access to a Fortress Press volume, Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works, vol. 5: Life Together and Prayerbook of the Bible, a $26.99 value.

To access this book, just join their Faithlife group here.

How do I use it?

The first step is insanely simple, but it’s the Update now command. You’ll need this to start your free book downloading once you’ve joined the group.

Search this, and other Bonhoeffer works

As several users in the group have noted, Bonhoeffer has some unique insights into marriage. One of the best features of Logos 6 is it’s inline search. You can activate it via the magnifying glass.

Once the search is open, you’ll want to change the dropdown menu from “Article” to “Search Result”. This way, you can use the up and down arrows to maneuver through your results.

While this helps us search the specific work, wouldn’t it be nice to check the rest of your library for more of his thoughts on the topic?

All you need to do is create a collection for your Bonhoeffer resources, and search that collection specifically. My course has detailed instructions for this process.

Save your insights in a clippings document

Because this is a limited time offer from Faithlife, you’ll want a way to save your insights for future use. My preferred method is clippings documents which become fully searchable, even after the resource is taken away.

To setup a new clippings document, go to Documents -> Clippings -> And rename your document. Then, right click on the selected quote, and select “Add a clipping to “Name Of Your Document”.
